*Please note you are buying a repair service, not a replacement unit service. This means we work on your system, we do not send you someone else's. As with any repair service some units may not be repairable. Please see the terms for more info.
Fix My Playstation offers total warranties with our flat rate PS3 repair services. This means that it covers your whole Playstation 3 during the warranty period. If anything goes wrong, no questions asked, we will accept your PS3 back and repair it at no charge to you. This is a simple and straight forward warranty.

How useful is a warranty from other shops that only cover the issue repaired. If you have a warranty on a Blu-ray drive and you get the YLOD or overheating 90 days later, you will be out of luck or out more money. With our warranty, you would be covered. This is all because we want our pricing to be straightforward and you don't end up spending more than you expected.

We offer these total warranties because our PS3 repairs are reliable. We are able to diagnose your PS3 and take steps that help protect your PS3 against future failures.

Standard PS3 Repair Service

Outbound (Return Shipping) is included with our standard PS3 repair service.

With our standard PS3 repair you take care of shipping your PS3 to us. We highly recommend UPS or Fed Ex. It is your responsibility to insure your system arrives to us without damage. We highly recommend using a pack and ship service at one of the UPS or Fed Ex store. They will help insure your system is packaged safely.

*We do not recommend USPS. We do not accept USPS flat rate boxes. We will return it to sender, if you send it via USPS flat rate box . Please see our shipping tips and instructions when packing up and sending your PS3 to us.

We will cover return shipping. Your system will be packaged tightly in peanuts and shipped with $300 in insurance

Premium PS3 Repair Service

All shipping is included with our premium PS3 repair service.

INBOUND (Shipping in to us) - Included
With our Premium PS3 Repair Service you have two shipping options

1. Send-a-box | Easy (Box and Postage Included)
I
f you select this option we will send you a box with a prepaid UPS label. It will arrive in 1-4 business days. This is the most hassle free way to take care of shipping. We include all postage and send a box right to you. All you have to do is put your PS3 in the box and then drop it off at a UPS drop location. We take care of it from there. It will be shipped to us in our ultra safe Worry Free Shipping Box (see below).

2. Send-a-label | Fast (Label emailed in 24 hours)
If you select this option a UPS ground label is emailed within 24 hours on business days. Just print it off and attach it to the box. This is faster than waiting a couple of days of rate box. The downside to this option is you are responsible for packaging your system.
IMPORTANT: Please remember no packaging material you use will be returned to you. Labels have $300 in coverage for your system but if your PS3 is not packaged properly you are responsible for any damage that occurs. Your PS3 needs at least 2 inches of padding on all sides. Boxes cannot be over 15 lbs and more than a 18 x 18 x 10 box. If excessive shipping fees are incurred due to oversized packaging you will be responsible for the additional cost.

OUTBOUND (Return shipping to you) - Included
We cover return shipping. After your repair service, we send your PS3 back in a Worry Free Shipping Box (see below). This is a very safe way to transport your PS3 and will help ensure it does not get damaged during transit.

This way we can start work immediately without having to wait for you to get in touch with us because your flat rate covers any repair that are needed for your PS3. It allows us to get your PS3 in fixed and out without any waiting.

Standard PS3 Repair Service
Your PS3 will be repaired in about a 3-5 business days if you order the standard PS3 repair service.

Premium PS3 Repair Service
Your PS3 repair will be prioritized and repaired in about 48 hours, if you order our premium PS3 repair service.

*Turn around times are not guaranteed as some PS3s will require extra time in order to be reliably repaired. All return times apply to business days only.
With our PS3 Repair Services, we give your PS3 complete diagnostics. We will pinpoint your current problems and take steps to prevent future problems. The only time data is ever lost during a PS3 repair at Fix My Playstation is if the data itself is corrupted. In this case Fix My Playstation will call you and inform you of the situation. We will make several attempts and use a couple of different methods to save all the data we can. If your data is corrupted in some cases data may be lost, reformatting may be required or firmware update may be needed.
Did your Playstation 3 eat your brand new game when it broke? Don't worry, when you send your PS3 in for repair by Fix My Playstation we will recover your disk and send it back to you! Your disk will be returned with your system in a white CD sleeve.

During the check out of your PS3 repair service you will be prompted to enter the name of the disk trapped inside your PS3. Just make sure you type in the name of the trapped disk and we will make sure we get it back to you!
If you have the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD) there are two common PS3 repair services that can solve this issue. A YLOD is caused because the solder under your graphics chip (RSX Chip) has fractured. There are two methods to repair the solder and get your PS3 working again. These this is the standard and premium Solder Repair Services.

1. PS3 Reflow Service
The reflow service for the PS3 is a method of repair that repairs the solder under the RSX chip. The solder is "re-flowed" in order to heal all the fracturing and remove any debris blocking the connections. This is a more cost effective method but not as reliable as the Reball service.

2. PS3 Reball Service
The reball service for the PS3 is a method of repair that replaces the solder under the RSX chip. The solder is removed and new solder is laid down. This is the most reliable PS3 repair for the Yellow Light of Death. It costs more than a reflow because it involves more labor.

Thermal Pads for PS3
We will upgrade your thermal pads in your PS3 if you order the Premium PS3 Repair Service. Most PS3s have about 17 thermal pads inside on the motherboard. These pads help remove heat from the motherboard and getting new thermal pads prevent future failure. With this upgrade service, we remove the old and dust filled thermal pads and install brand new thermal pads. These thermal pads have a 10x higher heat conductivity than the dust filled old factory pads.

It is highly recommended that you have this done to your PS3. If you have any questions about this, please contact us. We will automatically clean your fan and heat sink in an ultrasonic bath if you order the Premium PS3 Repair Service. This will remove every spec of dust, dirt and anything else that managed to find its way into your PS3. Dust acts like a fleece blanket holding in heat. With this Ultra-Sonic Cleaning Service. Your PS3 will be ready to take the heat and heavy usage without being held down by years of dust build up.

PS3 No Worry Box
We will automatically ship your PS3 back in the Worry Free Shipping Box if you order the Premium PS3 Repair Service . This is one of the safest ways to ship your PS3. Your PS3 will be package in a 200 lbs test box with two rigid foam endcaps. This suspends your PS3 and insures it will not suffer any direct impact during its journey home. The shipping material is also reusable in case you need to move, ship it somewhere etc.
